The Augustana Gala and Auction is our largest annual fundraiser.  Funds raised help to support the many important and vital ministries of the church.  Our 2017 goal  is $35,000, but wouldn't it be great if we met or exceeded the $39,413 raised in 2016.  While ambitious, we are confident we can reach the goal because the Augustana community has time and again demonstrated that it embraces challenges with energy, enthusiasm and tremendous congregational support.

It promises to be a great evening with something for everyone.  Browse and bid on the fabulous silent auction items (ranging in price from $10 and up), try your hand at the wine ring toss ($15), visit with friends, and make new friends.  Enjoy appetizers and background music.  There will be a no-host beverage bar.  Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m., followed by a Dessert Dash (new this year), and the Live Auction/Paddle Raises emceed by Augustana’s Auctioneer Extraordinaire Mark Foat.

There are several ways in which you can participate: 

  • Purchase Tickets for the Event – You may purchase online, or Janis Bell is available to sell you a ticket(s).  Tickets are $35 per person and include appetizers, and a roast pork loin or marinated/grilled Portabella mushroom dinner.   Child care tickets are $20 per child.
  • Purchase a reserved, preferred seating Friendship Table for 10  at a cost of $450 ($35 per guest, plus $100), or purchase the table for $100 with guests individualy purchasing their seats.  Two complimentary bottles of wine are included.
  • Invite family and friends.
  • Procure donations from local businesses  you frequent.  The auction team is happy to provide materials to help you “make the ask.”   
  • Make a donation(s) for the silent and live auctions, the dessert dash, and/or the wine ring toss.  Past donations (to name a few) have included themed dinners/events Tour of Asia, Hawaiian Luau, Vintage Ladies Cocktail Party, Poker Party; themed gift baskets; tickets to cultural/sports events;  once a month soup; monthly baked goods for a year;  yardwork/handyperson services; vacation home getaways, and so much more.  The sky is the limit!  Donations can be made online, or by completing a donation form (located in the Narthex or across from the church office) and placing it in the offering plate, taking it to the office,  or  giving it to one of the co-chairs. 
  • Purchase raffle tickets; need not be present to win.
  • If you can't attend the auction but want to contribute, consider making a cash donation of $5 or more to help defray expenses.
  • Would you like to bid but  are unable to attend?  Arrange for a bid number only ticket (no cost) and ask a friend or one of the auction co-chairs to bid on items or paddle raises for you.
  • Consider volunteering to help the auction team.
